Travel Post - London (Stina)

Hello!
Recently I stopped by London for three days while on my way to Denmark. And while there I saw some great outfits and got some great inspiration, so I decided to share some with you (including my favourite outfit I wore there). Since I had no idea what to call this post, I asked Alicia if she maybe wanted to start a travelling post, luckily she did so I'm also introducing our new series! Ta-Da! On the Travel Post we'll be posting outfit ideas we've received from visiting different places then from where we live and sharing maybe a few pictures, or details of our travel. I/We hope you like/love it!

My Outfit

I love this outfit. I practically lived in this outfit, kinda disgusting but its so comfortable! I wore this outfit/something similar while traveling and it might've been the best choice of my life (okay not in my life but it was really nice). These pants are super soft and light weight, not too hot but they'll keep you warm if a cool wind blows, they also look really chic with the tie-dye! A light pink tank will be the perfect match, or you could trade it out for a plain white tee (which I did do later on). The shoes go nicely, the pink-salmony colour matching the tank, which ties the whole thing together. A big bag'll do good for all your travel necessities, and touristing needs. Add cute earrings and a pair of sunglasses to stay cool (I should stop with trying to sound "cool" and "hip" and "chic" and trying to add "flare" to these posts.).

Street Style - London

While walking around to explore I saw this very professional and stylish woman, I admired her outfit and tried to recreate it from what I saw. The sweater might be a bit too warm, but you could easily replace it with a lighter knit sweater, or a woven shirt. Put on some light wash destroyed boyfriend/skinny (shown here)/boot cut jeans, and roll them up to show a bit of ankle (Scandalous!). Add a pair of short cutout boots and a leather jacket, also too hot but this girl was rocking it! A green purse to add some colour, and a tote for books, groceries, anything you need to get. I saw lots of double bags (purse and tote bag) in London. Some hoops like these checkered ones and an emerald necklace to accessorize. And for fun a drink from Starbucks.

Street Style - London 2.0

While in London I saw lots of professional woman, who were dressed for work. Now this isn't the exact outfit I might've seen but this is my own spin on it. I think you can still dress professional but young. This outfit could work for younger working women, interns, or women in college. The midi skirt isn't too slutty like most skirts these days, but its not a maxi skirt which might be a bit more difficult to get around. The shirt adds some colour so you're not some boring office worker. Add some small heeled vintage shoes that are easier to walk in, and carry a fun and flirty graphic bag for your work/school things (the bag also helps the outfit look younger). A classic black and gold watch will add class, and the different gold ring will make the outfit fun. Slip on a long stone necklace and you're set.

Heres just one of my favourite pictures I took while in London. Right by King's Cross Station and the British Library.
I hope you liked this post and that you get some inspiration from it!
Love you all!

Friday Favourites

Hello!
Its that time of week again, when we compile our current fashion favourites and share them with you!

Stina's Favourites

Alicia's Favourites
Okay, all of my favourites are from Garage, because I've been in love with Garage's new fall line!

Not only is the colour gorgeous, but this looks incredibly comfortable and will be perfect for fall!

Favourite Plaid Shirts
A classic black and red plaid shirt.

Stina and I are both fans of this shirt and it looks amazing in store!

I actually went out and bought this shirt yesterday, and it's so comfy. Currently wearing.

This sweatshirt looks so comfortable and cute. This one caught my eye a few days ago, and I've been in love with it ever since.

Thanks for reading our Friday Favourites! We hope that you enjoyed them, and that you'll check out some of these items! Also, you have my apologies {Alicia's} that these are being posted on a Saturday.

Themed Post - Calgary Stampede

Hiya!
This is a new post. I'm giving it a try. If I get inspired/get an idea and its based off something like a festival or t.v. show/movie I'll make it a themed post.
Anyways, its a bit late but I've been aching to do a post inspired by the Calgary Stampede. If you don't know what that is I'll give you a little information.
The Calgary Stampede is the greatest outdoor show on Earth (at least thats what they claim it to be). Its an excuse lots of companies use to have parties with live/loud music and alcohol. It runs for about ten days, and the grounds are usually packed with people of all ages. Families might go out for the shows like SuperDogs or the live Dora shows (for example). Most of us all love the rides covering the grounds, and the food stands promoting anything from chips-on-a-stick, to deep fried snickers. The Stampede has nightly concerts featuring Canadian bands and artists, and also has a section dedicated to the Native Indians, who were the first inhabitants of Canada.

Sadly I don't have any pictures of myself or Alicia when either one of us went to the Stampede, but I'm sure we can do without.

Stampede Party

For a Stampede Party, wear a light, fun, and flirty dress to keep a cool when its hot out. Slip on a pair of cowboy boots, a staple for the Stampede. Accessorize with cute black feather earrings, a chic fringed leather cross-body bag to hold all the necessities, and gold rings like a midi and a regular to layer up. Leave your hair in soft waves and braid the bangs so they're out of your face and you can have a good time. And for fun get a henna, either on your hand or possibly your back.

On The Grounds

Wear this outfit, or something similar, for walking around on the grounds, going on rides, and/or eating. A pair of black shorts matched with a bright tank will look fresh and festive. You can either wear the plaid shirt overtop of the tank if it gets cooler or starts to rain, or you can tie the shirt around your waist to add some flair. On your feet, wear good walking shoes that will stay securely on your feet, 'cause we don't want them to fall off while you're on a ride. A pair of sandals will do nicely. Put all your belongings into a cross body bag or a cute backpack. Accessorize with a pair of fun earrings, like these ice cream cone ones, and maybe an anklet.

Stampede Concert

I can imagine wearing this super cute pair of overalls to an outdoor concert. They're a light denim with several pockets and a drawstring. Put a striped, short sleeved crop top underneath so you're not revealing too much skin. Wear red platform sneakers for a bright pop and a bit of height to look over taller people. A small canvas bag will be light and able to hold the necessities. A chunky cross necklace and deep 'V' gold earrings add a bit of sparkle to the outfit.

I hope you like this post. Feel free to use these outfits for other uses, like festivals, parties, or maybe daily wear. Alicia and I both hope our posts inspire you, make your creativity run wild, and get you interested in fashion.

Friday Favourites

Hello Lovely!
Its been a long time, hasn't it? We're very sorry, from the bottom of our hearts. We really have no excuses, other then studying for finals, fund-raising for our class wide trip next year, and dealing with personal issues. But you probably don't want to hear about our problems.
Its now summer, and that means long nights, sleeping in, alone time, traveling, and no school. It also means that we really have no excuse for not posting. So we're all yours.
But now time for the post! Its Friday night, so after you're done reading this, subscribing to us, following us, +1ing our posts, recommending us to your friends and family, emailing us, and commenting, go talk to your family, watch your favourite re-runs of an old TV series, or cuddle up with a book.
We love you, have an amazing summer!

Stina's Favourites

This is Stina's (my) photo. I found them at Winners and I love them so much. Only problem (other then the price) is I can't find the exact pair online, so I linked the closest shoe. Same brand, same pattern, same colour, different style.
